Derek brings nearly a decade of public accounting experience to MFG. Over the years, he specialized in providing assurance, tax, and outsourced accounting and advisory services to his clients. This helps him bring a well-rounded perspective to the table to help families and businesses approach finances with clarity and confidence. Guided by his faith, Derek approaches relationships with care, seeing his work as an opportunity to serve and bring peace of mind.

Outside of work, Derek treasures time with his wife, their two daughters, and their soon-to-arrive baby boy. He enjoys reading, exercising, and experimenting with new recipes on the smoker.

Derek is an active volunteer at his church and a member of both the AICPA and the Indiana CPA Society.

Carissa is a former educator turned stay-at-home mom—now serving as COO for MFG. As COO, she oversees all aspects of firm operations—support, logistics, marketing, and design. Carissa is passionate about bringing a creative eye to the table.

Balancing work and family life, Carissa stays home with her two girls and operates a second small business creating custom apparel. She enjoys audio books, embroidery, and spending time with her growing family.
